UfI looking for new creative agencies
learndirect, the UK’s biggest e-learning provider, is looking to develop 30 short informal learning modules for people to get a taste of digital learning when they visit the company’s website or Facebook page. Covering topics such as ‘How to buy online’ and ‘Interview Skills – Top Tips’, learndirect aims to make the modules available to different audiences through e-learning, games and videos delivered via Facebook and smartphone apps as well as via the web. As these are short courses in a new area for learndirect, it is looking to hear from companies which want to showcase their innovation, imagination and creative approaches to us.

If you’re new to learndirect click the “Supplier Registration” link at the top of the page. Once registered, login to the portal with the username/password. Click the “ITTs Open to All Suppliers” link (these Invitations To Tender are open to any registered supplier). Click on the Informal Learning ITT or search for Project Code 17479 to access the content. Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page. This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs”
page (this is a secure area reserved for your projects only). Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings” and “Buyer Attachments” in the “Details” box.
The deadline for submissions is 19th April 2010 at 12.00pm.

What better way to learn is
What better way to learn is there if not through games? And getting Facebook in the middle is a great idea since most teenagers and not only use social media channels on a daily basis. Since the smart phones have become available to almost anyone, having a portable application handy can prove to be quite useful for killing a few minutes on the bus or the metro. There are many other things we can learn through games. I for one learned about Samurai swords from a game that presented the history of these weapons beside offering lots of fun adventure levels.
