About our event

2017 is a special year for us - it’s our 30th birthday. So we’re marking it with a special event to celebrate the best in innovative digital learning. That means we’ll have more fascinating presentations, more attendees and more brilliant learning opportunities than ever before. With exciting keynotes, three streams AND presentations and fascinating comments from some previous board members and chairpersons of the eLN, it promises to be the biggest event in our 30-year history. From Cognitive Science to Good Practice

The world of elearning is replete with any number of strategies to make learning more effective, with buzzwords to match: gamification, engagement, VR, social learning, blended learning, workplace learning, stories, and onwards. But what exactly are they trying to achieve? In her keynote talk, Dr Rebecca Gordon, a chartered psychologist from King's College, London, and expert on executive function, memory and learning, will discuss fundamental cognitive science demonstrated using hands on activities to illustrate how we can build scientific principles into everyday good practice.

Getting there

The venue is:

Minories Suite, Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, 45 Prescot St, London E1 8GP

The Grange Hotel at Tower Bridge is a 5-star venue, situated close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge in London’s historic centre. The event will take up the whole of the hotel’s Minories Suite which offers us ample exhibition space, close to the conference rooms. Coffee, lunch and the drinks reception will all be served in the same area to make a relaxing and easy-to network day.
